Original Body

In this Original Body class you will learn how to use heated stones and chilled stones coupled with Swedish massage strokes and Energy balancing techniques to support the full experience of LaStone Therapy. Students learn how to heat and chill the stones and how to control the various temperatures of the stones for use on the client within a therapy session. We focus on Contraindications and why Geo-thermo-therapy is the answer to aiding your clients in physical and emotional self healing. We explain the philosophy encompassing the power of breath, stone placement balanced with ceremony and the effects that authentic LaStone® Therapy treatment has on the “Body-Mind-Soul”. Finally, you will learn how to properly care for your stones and equipment and how to honor the “Harvest” of gathering your own stones so that you can continue to add stones to your original set of hot and cold stones.

• Lavender and Eucalyptus  Aroma therapy Oil
• 18 Quart Roaster – 12 AMPS each unit requires separate circuit – we recommend Nesco units
• Long - heavy duty extension cord if necessary

• Thermometer
• Fish net 4x4inches aquarium size
• Wooden spoon
• One Step Hand Sanitizer
• Clorox wipes
• 22-quart Ice chest (Hard Case Cooler – Medium in size (not lunch box size)
• Pillow
• Pencil, pen, paper, water to drink, snack food.
• Wear comfortable clothing you will be giving and receiving massages each day of the workshop
• LaStone Therapy Manual (available to purchase in class)

Linens and Towels

Needed each day per person

• Two double flat cotton/poly sheets (not flannel)
• 1 fitted sheet can be flannel
• 3 king size pillowcases cotton/poly (not flannel)
• Two large bath towels (beach towels will do)
• Three or more hand towels
• One thin cotton sock (lightweight material, used for the chilled stones)

One thick cotton sock (heavy weight material, used for the heated stones)

Ordering Stones

Please order your stones from the supplier listed. You will need one set of stones used in the heated application and one set of stones used in the chilled application.

When placing your order for stones please contact NIMT Inc. at 888-261-8999 and we will have the order sent as one shipment to the school to save money on customs/duty and brokerage fees. These fees will be paid by you in class once calculated from the final invoice.

If you choose to order directly from Desert Stone People 888-616-7218 inform them of the class, location and dates. You can request that the stones be shipped to the training centre or to your home whichever you prefer. Please note that the shipping, customs/duty and brokerage fees would be your responsibility and may cost you more as an individual order.

Due to the US verses Canadian dollar the following price lists are in US dollars. Please use the money conversion from the internet to determine Canadian prices and note that it changes daily. The cost of the stones will be processed in US Funds.

Travel tips for stones

This is how Cindy travels with her stones on airplanes:

• Using a 22-quart ice chest layer the basalt stones in first using bubble wrap between each layer of the stones.
• Individually wrap each marble, sardonyx or jade stone, place these stones on top of the layers of the basalt stones.
• Place an address label inside the ice chest with the stones.
• Place an address label on the outside of the ice chest.
• Tape the ice chest closed with packing tape.
• Check as luggage at the airport.
