- Anyone wishing to apply for employment with the Northern Institute of Massage Therapy Incorporated MUST meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must present a certificate or professional designation specific to the field of massage therapy.
- The applicant must be a current member in good standing of a recognized massage association.
- The applicant must be actively working in the field of massage therapy.
- The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience as a therapeutic massage therapist.
- The applicant must supply proof of experience instructing adult learners. (examples include training workshops for various therapeutic massage modalities)
- The applicant must agree to abide by the teaching philosophy of NIMT.Inc: that in order to address all types of learners all course materials must be presented in 3 separate ways:

- tactile.
Adult learners want specific information and are not content to memorize lists of information. Instructors must realize this and be capable of providing information in a manner suited to this type of student. The applicant should also understand that we believe that our students will meet the standards set for them, and therefore we have set the minimum pass requirement at 75% in all subjects. This requires a significant personal investment from our students, but also from our instructors as well. In closing, if you feel that you have the skills and understanding required for an instructor's position with NIMT Inc. please supply proof of the listed requirements at your convenience.
